할미꽃 스승의 날

매년 5월 15일은 스승의 날입니다. 공교육의 참스승으로 대우받는 학교의 선생님들은 카네이션 꽃속에 푸욱 파 묻히는 날이기도 하지요. '참되거라, 바르거라 가르쳐 주신. 스승은 마음의 어버이시다.' 라고 울려퍼지는 스승의 날 노래가 귀에 못이 박히도록 학교에서는 듣겠지요. 하지만 사교육의 현장은 그렇지 않습니다. 언제나 사교육 현장의 학원강사들은 지식 노동자일 뿐이죠. '그렇게 살면 안된다. 먼저 인간이 되고 공부해야 한다.'라고 수도 없이 잔소리하며 학생들과 실랑이를 벌이지만 해마다 5월 15일 스승의 날이 되면 그 흔한 스승의 날 노래마져 듣지 못하는 것이 현실입니다. 10여년 이상 저 역시 사교육 현장에서 잔뼈가 굶은 사람이지만 부모님들에게나 학생들로부터 제대로된 스승의 대접을 받은 적이 거의 없지..
